At Raising Sisu, I believe that while a baby is born to parents, they thrive within a community. My in-home masterclasses are designed to be a collaborative experience, creating a unified circle of care around your newest family member.
Education is most powerful when everyone is on the same page. That is why grandparents, nannies, and all primary caregivers are not only welcome but deeply encouraged to join the new parents for these in-home sessions. By learning together in your own environment, we bridge generational gaps and align caregiving styles, ensuring that every hand that holds your baby does so with the same confidence, safety, and "Sisu" spirit.
Whether you are building a foundation for the next three years or mastering the art of the first three nights, these classes turn your support system into a resilient, empowered team.
Evidence-based, academic background and Brazilian heritage over the Finnish concept of Sisu, I am not just offering "childcare"— I am offering "resilience coaching" for the entire family.
A logistics and confidence masterclass for the first 72 hours. This class transforms your home from a place of "preparedness" to a place of "peace." We walk through your space together to optimize nursery flow, decode the subtle language of newborn cues, and create a custom "First Week" roadmap.
While most classes focus solely on the baby, this session honors the birthing parent. We cover physical recovery, postpartum nutrition, and the "hormonal shift" to ensure you have a soft place to land.
This class updates your support team on modern safety—from "Back to Sleep" protocols to the latest feeding hygiene—ensuring everyone is on the same page for the baby’s arrival.
This is parenting prep for the long game. Instead of focusing only on the first three months, we strengthen the fundamentals for the first three years. We look at the big picture to set both parents and little ones up for success from the very beginning.
Move past the fear of sleep deprivation with a class rooted in neonatal biology. Learn to create the "Goldilocks" environment and encourage healthy habits from day one without "crying it out."
Learn the physical art of infant massage for colic relief and the mechanics of "Positive Tummy Time." This hands-on class gives you the tools to physically comfort and support your baby’s development.

I believe in "The Village" approach. While these classes are designed for parents, I strongly encourage grandparents, nannies, and any primary caregivers to attend. Having everyone on the same page creates a consistent, peaceful environment for your baby and reduces stress for you.
To keep the environment intimate and focused, I recommend a maximum of 6-8 primary caregivers per in-home session. This ensures everyone has the opportunity to ask questions and participate in hands-on demonstrations.
Most signature masterclasses run between 90 minutes and 2 hours. The Game Plan Boot Camp is a more intensive session and typically lasts about 3 hours. I always leave time for questions to ensure you feel confident before I leave.
For families on the Olympic Peninsula, travel is included within a 30-mile radius of Port Hadlock. For locations across the sound, or for out-of-state "Residency" bookings, a travel fee or reimbursement for accommodations/transportation may apply. Please contact me for a custom quote.
I understand that life with a newborn is unpredictable! I ask for at least 48 hours' notice for cancellations. If you or your baby are feeling unwell, we will work together to find the earliest possible date to reschedule so you don't miss out on your education.
